DEP

After taking the Oath of Enlistment at MEPS, most recruits enter DEP. Duration ranges from a few days to 12 months depending on branch and MOS availability. The Army calls its DEP the Future Soldier Program; the Army National Guard calls it RSP; the Air Force calls monthly meetings Student Flight; Marine Corps DEP members are called Poolees.
