TI

TIs are the Air Force and Space Force equivalent of Army Drill Sergeants. They are identifiable by their distinctive campaign cover (campaign hat). TIs at BMT are responsible for the entire development of their flight: physical conditioning, academics, drill, and uniform standards. Unlike Army DSs, TIs are not expected to use the same intense confrontational style, though BMT is still demanding.
